The International Club is a support students’ organization that was created with the purpose of organizing cultural activities throughout the school year as a way to welcome foreign exchange students by:
Activities and Field Trips
- Promoting the value of International goodwill, and a strong, long, lasting bond among our students and our foreign guests.
- Educating our members about the importance of learning about other cultures and global issues as a true contribution to World Peace and Understanding.
- Instilling in our members and foreign guests a greater pride for our country and theirs, for our traditions, our history, and our strong sense of community and hospitality.
- Celebrating diversity by enjoying each culture’s unique blend of languages, customs, and national values.
- Encouraging our members and all students to enroll in the wide variety of AFS programs available to live with families abroad.
Activities and Field Trips
- Joint meetings, activities, and fundraising events with AFS Adult Chapter in Lomira
- Celebration of Halloween, Christmas, and other American and International traditions to share the unique charm of different holidays and celebrations throughout the year.
- Organize field trips to visit: Oct: Haunted House Mid-Nov: International Fold Fair in West Allis
- Other events ¨ Join other schools in Wisconsin by organizing activities for National World Languages Week in March ¨
- Host the annual AFS Weekend of unforgettable fun for all involved.
